Jenny Packham 2012 arriving soon

We've already received two of our new 2012 Jenny Packham gowns at Silk and we're hoping to have all of the others in store by the middle of October.  We're finding it difficult to choose our favourite as the collection is so strong but I think Aspen might just about have the edge.  Do you agree?

We will carry all of the gowns that we have on our website so why not call to arrange an appointment to come and try them all on so that you can choose your own favourite?

As always Saturday appointments are booking up fast so don't leave it too long if you have a particular date in mind. xx

Lovely words....

I've just received a lovely email from one of our brides, Carol, who was married in August and wanted to share them.  Things are so busy at the moment but the hard work is all worth it every time we receive an email like this.

I thought I would drop you a line to say thank you for your wonderful advice and guidance, you and your team gave me with regards to picking my wedding dress. you were all fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. You always answered my questions quickly and honestly either by email or phone. You were all very welcoming when we visited and I really appreciated your honest opinion.

Thank you once again and  I would recommend your shop and service to friends, who knows maybe one day I will be bring my daughters !  Not just yet though! I hope! No offence! LOL

Pronovias 2012 gowns

Most of the new Pronovias gowns for 2012 have arrived in store and what a beautiful selection we chose in Barcelona back in May.  There's plenty of corded lace, softer Chantilly lace, and metres of tulle together with the best sellers that we will be carrying forward in to the next year.  All of the dresses that we have from the Pronovias range are on our website, but if you have a different style in mind, please don't hesitate to call and we'll see if we are able to help you.  These are two of our favourites from the 2012 collection, firstly Palace

Fabulously busy summer.....

Wow what a busy summer we've had!!  Not only have we said goodbye to lots and lots of beautiful brides who have been married this year, we've been incredibly busy with new brides coming in to see us to order their gowns for next year too.  So the normally quiet period for sales through the summer months just hasn't happened this year which is fabulous for business.

As a result, we've decided to go back to our roots and from now on we're not going to sell bridesmaid or prom gowns at Silk, instead we want to fill our space with even more beautiful gowns from our fabulous designers.  This will enable all of us to focus our efforts on looking after our lovely brides and will of course free up more appointments in the diary. Obviously we'll fulfill all of our existing orders for bridesmaid dresses so no need at all to worry if you've already ordered your dresses from us.  

A lovely thank you....

I've just received a lovely email from a bride who came into Silk this morning and I wanted to share it.  When I opened Silk I wanted to be sure to offer all of our brides a wonderful experience and it means so much when you hear that you're getting it right.  This is what the email said:-

"I came for an appointment today to try some dresses, and really enjoyed the experience. I felt really special, and cared for, and all the staff are lovely. You really have created something special in your shop!  It makes all the difference!"
